Well, have actually made a few pieces of jewellery today.... Having a four day break is wonderful.... hopefully I can do a few more things over the next couple of days too!
I recently picked up some silver plated vintage cutlery and managed to put together the following. A fair bit of wire wrapping, drilling, polishing etc.... gotta love my dremel! lol
The fork was a bit of a trial.... I managed to break off one of the prongs... so made it into a loop! Then when I was trying to polish it, went a bit crazy with the dremel, therefore I had to create a pattern on it to cover up the mistakes!

Janine these look fab! I love how the fork has turned out even if that was not what you had in mind, you have certainly turned your challenges in to triumphs!
It's good to read that you have had time to play this weekend. Ux
Janine!
Great job with the silverware!! The plated stuff is really a beast to curl isn't it!! I have found that if you put the piece in a vise to hold it and then work with the pliers to make the curls, it is a bit easier!!
Glad to see that you have a bit of time to create!!
Hugs!

these pieces look wonderfully original. love the curls on the fork, and what you have done on the end of the handles is gorgeous.

perfect pieces for a posh dinner party.
These are gorgeous Janine! Isn't it funny, the fork with the altered prong is the one that really draws my eye - I think sometimes our best pieces come from having to improvise, make over, rework. I love this idea of altered cutlery jewelry - so cool!
Wow, thanks for visiting my blog, I get to see your fabulous jewellery and what a great class you did with Michael D. I'll be back
